Shot this week – 2012

Priest and nun kissing, Valletta FC Champions

*Works in progress. Will be updated*

We are at the end of another year. Photographically it was one of my best. Still not close to my year in Australia but very close. Technically i did very well. Surpassed all my goals set this time last year.

I had a couple of images in a sports exhibition, i sold a lot of sports photos, had one published on a local news paper sport report, won a Canon Malta competition, 2nd in M.I.P.P. photographer of the year, quite a few gold/silver/bronze awards, obtained my Associate of the Malta Institute of Professional Photography and worked as an assistant with one of Malta’s top wedding photographers.

All this was possible with the help of family, friends and quite a few fellow photographers, who took the time to advise me and critique my work. Here are the names of these persons and links to their work:

There are quite a few photographs that are my favourite but i have only posted a few here. Please do not judge them on technical issues since many are not what are considered to be very good images but for me photography is not about the final image. The process needed to shoot a photo is what i love about this art. All photos here mean something to me personally. Not awards. It could be the mood i was in. May be the day i shot it was one i will never forget. Many have also not been published before

*This is the last post from my Shot This Week series

Shot this Week is a handful of photographs I shot during the past week. A variety of images and snap shots including the occasional click made with my  iPad 2, mobile phone and pocket camera.

This will be updated every Sunday at 20:00hrs.
