Malta’s finest football team, Valletta FC have been crowned Champions for the 23rd time! Here are a few short videos I shot during their  well known celebrations that are obviously held in the streets of Valletta!

Parliament by Renzo Piano, Video 20 August 2012

Video of the construction works on the  Old Theatre and in Freedom Square. Previously a car park, Malta’s new parliament is being constructed as part of the Renzo Piano Project for the entrance to Valletta.

Architect Renzo Piano unveiled the  designs for the entrance to Valletta on Saturday 27th June 2009. This extensive project is expected to be completed by 2014. Piano’s plan include the new parliament that will be built  in Freedom Square, restoring City gate to its original design of 1633, re building the Old theatre for out door performances, re furbish Valletta bus terminus, a new lift from City Gate down to Valletta ditch that will be turned into public gardens and other over all restorations.

Moviment Graffiti statment:

Moviment Graffiti is organising a symbolic solidarity peace walk in response to the latest violent attacks being perpetrated against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

This peace walk is going to be held on Wednesday, 21st November, 2012, initiating from City Gate at 18:00 via Republic Street and ending through a candle-light vigil in front of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Merchant Street, Valletta 

This event is specifically aimed at expressing solidarity with Palestine, and raising greater awareness on the brutality and violations of human rights that are continuously being perpetrated against the Palestinian people by the Israeli state. The activity also calls on the Maltese Government to condemn these atrocities and support the Palestinian people by utilising its full diplomatic powers and take a more active role in establishing peace in the Middle East through conflict resolution.
