Lift at Upper Barraka Gardens, 19 August 2012

Work on the construction of a lift that will link Lascaris ditch to Upper Barraka gardens in Valletta. This lift, 58 meters high, will be able to carry 21 passengers, significantly more then the previous lift that was in the same location but dismantled in 1983. Operating between 1905 and 1973  this lift was able to carry 12 passengers.
